Read the details of the cnet forum:

http://forums.cnet.com/7723-6142_102-42625.html

The following site has a utility to download:

http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/shexview.html

I was able to download ad install the Shell Extension view and disabled all but the microsoft extensions.

I was able to figure out by process of elemination that dameware was the culprit.

Once that extension was disabled, I was able to sucessfully right-click and get work done.

How to disable PCT 1.0, SSL 2.0, SSL 3.0, or TLS 1.0 in Internet Information Services

You can use HTTPS to connect to either of the following:

  • Microsoft Internet Information Server (IIS) versions 3.0 and later versions
  • Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS) 5.0 and later versions

When you do this, the client and the server negotiate a common protocol to help secure the channel. If the server and the client have multiple protocols in common, IIS tries to help secure the channel with one of the protocols that IIS supports. The protocol that IIS uses is selected in the following order of preference:

  1. PCT 1.0
  2. SSL 3.0
  3. SSL 2.0

Sometimes, you may want to disable one or more of these protocols. You can do this if you change the registry.

Remove Windows Internal Database

Symptom: Consider the following scenario. You deploy a single-server configuration of Microsoft Windows SharePoint Services 3.0 by using the Basic installation option. After Windows SharePoint Services 3.0 is successfully installed on the computer, you open the Add or Remove Programs tool. You notice that Microsoft Windows Internal Database does not appear in the list of currently installed programs even though it is installed on the computer.  In another scenario, you install WSUS 3,0 and then uninstall it.

Later, you remove Windows SharePoint Services 3.0 or WSUS 3.0 from the computer. However, Windows Internal Database is still installed on the computer. You cannot use the Add or Remove Programs tool to remove Windows Internal Database from the computer because it does not appear in the list of currently installed programs.

Note Windows Internal Database is also referenced as Embedded Edition (Windows).
